What's Mine at Twilight (2001)*

The mostly Christian rock band Puller was formed in Oklahoma by Mike Lewis, former front man for the general market group For Love Not Lisa. Three of the four members were Christians when it formed in 1996. Puller wanted to tour in clubs and not be pigeon-holed a 'Christian band.' Mike lamented to Phantom Toobooth in an interview that one of the reasons was his dismay that when marketed that way they ended up playing in venues where the kids weren't serious about the music and were just there to be silly, and that a college rock band with a mature sound and thought-provoking lyrics deserved to be taken seriously. What's Mine At Twilight was their third release on Tooth & Nail early in 2001, and continues the sound and emphasis of their second album, Closer Than You Think, released in 1998. As an HM Magazine reviewer put it, 'like the Foo Fighters without all the sugary pop frosting.' Songs include: 'Hold On To Me,' 'Man On the Move,' 'She's the Girl,' 'Give Me A Ride,' 'First To Have,' 'These Days,' 'Heat Of the Moment,' 'Two Can Play That Game,' 'Good Song' and 'If She's the One.'
