PFR was arguably the most popular of the Christian neo-Beatles groups that rode the wave of alternative-retro appreciation for melody in the mid-90s. In addition to The Beatles, their sound was also influenced by Dan Fogelberg, The Byrds, and R.E.M. Their albums are roughly comparable to Crowded House, The Rembrandts, and Toad the Wet Sprocket. They, in turn, were a primary influence on Jars Of Clay and Smalltown Poets. This 2001 Squint Entertainment release was their last hurrah, edgier than their earlier pop/rock releases, causing critics to compare their sound to Matchbox 20 and Third Eye Blind. It features songs that avoid obvious Christian slogans or religious language, while expressing an undeniable spirituality for those with ears to hear. Songs include: 'Amsterdam,' 'Gone,' 'All Ready,' 'Missing Love,' 'Closer,' 'Even A Whisper,' 'Language Of the Soul,' 'Falling,' 'Me' and 'You.'
