Failure to Yield (1995)

Price: $3.99

Price Currently Paid for this CD: $2.50

Formed in Portland, Oregon in 1993, Crux was a Christian punk band with a hard metal edge. Lead vocalist Richard Phillips had training in vocal jazz, and brought to the mix an expressive technique uncharacteristic of punk rock. The songs are often political and polemic, exhibiting a familiarity with social ills and their root causes. It was the band's major label debut on Tooth & Nail Records in 1995. Songs include: 'Answer the Question,' 'New Morality,' 'Wasted Day,' 'Circle,' 'Excuses,' 'Hate Crime,' 'Hunger,' 'Theory,' 'Restore,' 'Tell Me,' 'Bitterness Spreads,' 'Good Golly My Dad Was Right,' 'No Clue,' 'Dance Feever,' 'Price Check,' 'Ingrown,' 'Generation X,' and 'Agenda.'
