Produced by Lanny Cordola, Tim Bardowell and Chuck Wright, this brilliant jazz-inflected progressive art-rock project sadly aborted on launch due to the financial collapse of Alarma Records in 1996. It shows a keen sense of melodic songwriting, super tight musicianship, and fanciful lyric writing. Lyrically the group presents songs that deal in one way or another with the intersection of religion and culture, touching on themes of racial violence and on efforts to relate the message of the gospel to the needs of society. The songs are rich in literary allusion and imagery in ways that may confound linear thinkers. They strive to draw on the affective strengths of poetry, while sacrificing the more direct and obvious referential values of prose. Just imagine Charlie Peacock producing Dream Theatre and you'll understand that chaos theory is beautiful! Songs include: 'Why Buildings Fall Down,' 'Dead Walking Cupie Doll,' 'So Go I,' 'Dumb It Down,' 'Daisy Chain,' 'Kill It,' 'God's Empty Chair,' 'The Longest Day In Mrs. Evers' Life,' 'Hell On High Water Son,' 'Seashell,' 'Trippin' In the Darkness' and 'Watershed.'
