What does the number 21 stand for? It stands for the number of hours it took this band to crank out 12 songs of The Crucified-inspired punk. 21 is The Blamed's debut, released on Tooth & Nail Records in 1994, featuring the talents of former Crucified drummer Jim Chaffin, along with Bryan Gray, Eric Churchill and Jake Landrau. It also features some guest appearances from members of Chatterbox, Klank, P.O.D., Plankeye and others. In fact, all the members of The Crucified appear somewhere on this disc. The sound is very California-inspired punk rock, with obvious influences being Nobody Special, Lifesavors and The Crucified, and it was produced by Ronnie Martin. Songs include: 'Abuse,' 'Help Yourself,' 'Testimony,' 'Drunk,' 'Separation,' 'A State Of . . . ,' 'From Me To You,' 'Rainbow,' '3 a.m.,' 'God Is Alive,' 'Walkabout' and 'The Ballad Of The Blamed.'
